Brinjal — or baingan — is one of India's most loved vegetables. Whether you're cooking a smoky baingan bharta or a tangy curry, it all starts with the right seed. At GardenGo, we bring you a wide range of brinjal seeds at the lowest price — perfect for home gardens, balconies, and kitchen plots.

We offer both desi and hybrid varieties, so you can pick what suits your soil, season, and cooking style. Our seeds come from trusted suppliers and are tested for good germination. Thousands of Indian home gardeners have already grown healthy brinjal plants with our seeds.

Why Grow Brinjal at Home?

Brinjal is one of the easiest vegetables to grow in Indian conditions. It loves warm weather and can give you a harvest in as little as 60–80 days after transplanting. You don't need a big garden — a medium-sized pot on your balcony is enough to get started.

Home-grown brinjal is fresher, tastier, and free of harmful chemicals. A single plant can give you fruits for several months with low maintenance care. That's why it's a top pick for kitchen gardeners across India.

Which Brinjal Variety Should You Choose?

  • Round purple varieties – Best for baingan bharta and stuffed brinjal dishes.
  • Long green varieties – Popular in South Indian cooking; grow well in pots.
  • Hybrid varieties – Higher yield and disease-resistant; ideal for regular harvests.
  • Desi / heirloom varieties – Traditional flavour; open-pollinated seeds you can save for next season.

Not sure where to start? Our bestseller brinjal seeds are a great pick for first-time growers. They're easy to sow, quick to germinate, and work well across most Indian states.

How to Sow Brinjal Seeds

Fill a nursery tray or small pot with well-drained soil and sow the seeds about 0.5 cm deep. Keep the soil moist and place the tray in a warm, sunny spot. Seeds usually germinate in 7–10 days. Once seedlings reach 10–12 cm, transplant them to a bigger pot or garden bed.

The best sowing time is February–March or June–July for most parts of India. Regular watering, occasional fertilising, and full sunlight are all your brinjal plant needs to thrive.
