Growing your own chillies is one of the most rewarding things you can do at home. Whether you love fiery heat or prefer mild flavours, chilli seeds are easy to grow in pots, balcony containers, or small garden beds. You do not need a big yard β€” a sunny windowsill or south-facing balcony is enough.

At GardenGo, we offer a wide range of chilli seeds at the lowest price in India. From everyday Green Chilli to exotic Bhut Jolokia and sweet Banana Pepper, there is a variety for every kitchen and every level of gardener.

Why Grow Chillies at Home?

Chillies are among India's most-used kitchen ingredients. Home-grown chillies are fresher, free of pesticides, and can be up to 3 times more flavourful than store-bought ones. Growing your own also means a steady, affordable supply all through the year.

Our customers love how low maintenance chilli plants are once they settle in. Most varieties start producing fruit in just 60–90 days. Give them 6–8 hours of sunlight daily and water them every 2–3 days β€” that is really all it takes.

Popular Chilli Varieties to Choose From

  • Kashmiri Chilli – Mild heat, rich red colour, perfect for curries and gravies
  • Green Chilli (Hari Mirch) – Our best seller for everyday Indian cooking
  • Bhut Jolokia (Ghost Pepper) – One of the world's hottest chillies for true spice lovers
  • Bird's Eye Chilli – Small, fiery, and ideal for pickles and chutneys
  • Yellow Banana Pepper – Mild and sweet, a great choice for beginners
  • Jwala Chilli – A beloved Indian variety with medium heat and excellent yield

How to Start Growing Chilli Seeds

Sow chilli seeds in a small seedling tray filled with moist potting mix. Keep the tray in a warm spot with good light and seeds will sprout in 7–14 days. Once seedlings reach 4–5 inches tall, move them to a 10–12 inch pot or grow bag.

Thousands of home gardeners across India have grown chillies successfully using GardenGo seeds. Our seeds carry a high germination rate and come with simple growing instructions so you always know the next step. Start your kitchen garden today and enjoy your first harvest in about 3 months.
