Four plants that flower through an Indian winter, when everything else stops.
Why these four
October to February is the best flowering season in most of the country, and these four use it. Plant them by early November and they are in colour for Christmas and through to Holi.
Where to keep them
Full winter sun — a terrace, a south-facing balcony or a bed.
Looking after them
Water in the morning rather than the evening, and deadhead weekly to keep the flowers coming.
